Google Video Banning

I have never used Google Video to write a post before.  I’ve only looked at other people’s posts or just browsed the site; I’ve never actually done anything with it…but I’m willing to defend the act of banning Google Video from school.

I would like to go off of Mr. Wilkoff’s post, The Case for Google Video.  He stated that is outrageous for 8e6 to completely ban this website from school.  It provides a type of learning for the student body.  He has argued that we see the crap on Google Video on commercials anyway, even if it’s not appropriate, but I truly think that the commercials have worse things on it because adults look on them more.

When we comment and nominate posts for blogs, I really look for Google Video (or some other type of streamer) because I just love them.  I think they’re very funny and they’re not made up.  They’re real things that happen to people and someone just happens to have a video camera in their hands.  The reflection part of it is really interesting to me though.  I like to compare what I got out of the video to what they got out of the video.

Also like what Mr. Wilkoff said, Google Video provides a more visual way of learning.  It makes learning “more fun”.  I have seen certain students looking at random videos that have nothing to do with what their blog is about when we’re blogging.  But we can change that.  If the teacher walks around every ten minutes or so and check on what everyone’s doing and if it’s productive, then that could help that problem.

So if you really care about this unfortunate event, please write about it and gang up on 8e6.  If we work together, we can unban what has been banned!!  I know that sounded like a lecture, but please…try it.
